1. All brand new miners unable to obtain IP address
Solution:
- As the DHCP service must be running for the next step to be taken, check to see if it is on the network.
- Verify the network to see if MAC binding is turned off.
- Make sure the router’s connection and settings are correct.
2. Some newly installed machines are unable to obtain IP addresses.
Solution:
- Connect the computer to the port using a network cable, then check to see if the UART port can access the network normally.
- Check to see if the IP pool has enough coverage; the figure below shows that by default, the IP will only be automatically assigned to 99 addresses (the maximum can be set to 254 addresses).
- To find out how many devices a router can connect, speak with the manufacturer. For typical residential use, a router can only support a maximum of 254 IP addresses, but due to hardware limitations, a typical router can only support 10 to 50 devices at once, so there isn’t much information available about its capacity. it’s required to consult the manufacturer. Please exercise greater caution when purchasing the product since only those with professional housing smart routers are able to provide the necessary capacity data.
3. All of the miners are unable to mine, but they do succeed in getting an IP address, and computers can connect to the network normally.
Solution:
- Check to see if there are any network configuration restrictions. A typical router will typically have whitelist settings or other restrictions on network access policies, etc., it’s able to restrict the specific website or method of connecting to the network, this problem is relatively professional, which requires network engineer to further troubleshoot.
- If the network operator disabled the corresponding port, it would have an impact on the mining process but not the connection to the internet. The corresponding port would display at the end of the mining pool for you to check. Contact the network operator’s customer service with any port-related concerns.
- Verify that the Antminer D7 settings and the mining pool are normal.
- Connect two miners to another network, and if they can continue to operate normally, there is a problem with that particular network.
4. Some of the miners unable to mine while operating
Solution:
- Verify that the UART port or router is in good condition.
- Make sure the power is normal.
5. Unable to trace the IP address after change the location of the Antminer D7
Solution:
Use a needle to gently press the reset button while the miner is powered on for about five seconds. The red and green indicator lights will turn off, and the miner will be reset.
